      1. A Forever Recovery helps so much. The building is kept clean and neat and it has the feel of a lodge instead of the usual rehab type setting. The place is in an out of the way location so you can really concentrate on your recovery with no outside distractions. You can’t have a cookie cutter approach to treating addiction. AFR knows this and offers different treatment options so that the program you do is the one that will work for you. If you are religious or interested in religion they have a faith based option. If you want to learn skills that will empower you to stay clean they have an option that does that. Figuring out what your triggers are and working to create the right motivation for you to stay clean is really important when going through recovery and AFR helps you with that. Even though the treatment options are different, they all are designed to truly help you. The counselors at AFR really care about their clients. They treat the clients with care and respect which is a welcome change to other rehabs I’ve seen. You can tell the counselors and even the rest of the staff are happy to be working there, happy to go to work each day to help people get off drugs. When you finish your program and leave, you leave with so many new skills that will help you stay clean and you have confidence in your ability to use though skills.

      2. A Forever Recovery was the 5th drug rehab program my sister has been to. She has been struggling with her addiction for around 15 years. I had completely cut ties with her as it was just too hard to watch her slowly kill herself. My mom told me she had entered my sister into yet another rehab and I didn’t really think much of it. I just figured it be just more of the same with my sister going through the program and promising to do better and just going back to her old life, old friends and old habits within a fairly short period of time. I didn’t pay much attention to what my mom was saying while my sister was at A Forever Recovery. It’s all stuff I had heard from her before. A few weeks into my sister’s stay my mom finally convinced me to call her. I was shocked at what my sister was saying and how she sounded. Every other rehab in the past when I spoke with her it always seemed like her emotions were faked. She never seemed like she believed anything she was saying and yet always expected us to believe she had changed and was determined to do good when she left. This time when I spoke to her, her emotions sounded genuine. It didn’t sound like she was just faking it and biding her time till she could go get high again. It was nice, being able to talk to my sister again and have her be more like the sister I remember from before she started using drugs. Honestly though, I didn’t really think it would stick. I just figured I might as well talk to my sister while she was there because more than likely it would be the only time I could talk to her and know she wasn’t getting high. She talked a lot about the program while she there and the classes she was able to take. She took a cooking class while she was there which she loved. Struggling with her addiction for so long meant she didn’t learn how to do basic things like cook for herself. So for her learning how to cook for herself was pretty awesome. She talked a lot about the peers there and how everyone seemed to really want everyone else to do well and stay clean and sober. My sister finished her program 6 months ago. She’s been clean since she finished and this is the longest period of time my sister has ever stayed clean after finishing a program. I thought that when she finished her program I wouldn’t talk to her as much because I wouldn’t really be able to know with absolute certainty that she wasn’t getting high I didn’t think I’d trust her enough to tell the truth. However, she’s doing so good and what’s amazing to me is that she doesn’t look like she is struggling to stay clean. She just looks happy and healthy and intent on staying that way. Having her go through the program at A Forever Recovery was that best think in the world for my sister and for the rest of our family. Our family is actually starting to heal old wounds and I’m so grateful to AFR for giving my sister the help she needed to make that happen.

      3. I will be the first to admit that I was not the easiest client that A Forever Recovery has ever had. In fact, I was probably one of the toughest clients ever to set foot in this rehab center. Bless their hearts though, the staff at A Forever Recovery saw to it that my recovery was a permanent one and that I walked out of their rehab center clean and sober about seven weeks later.

There are a few things about A Forever Recovery that stand out for me as earmarking this center as being especially helpful and beneficial in a lot of different ways. The first, like I alluded to, was the length of time of the rehab program itself. I have been to rehab twice before, and my experience thus far has been that most rehab centers operate off of a more, strict, cut and dried twenty-eight day approach to addiction treatment. Not A Forever Recovery though. No, this center has a very different and a very special approach to it that was lasting and important for me.

At a Forever Recovery, they offer a results based and evidence based approach to addiction treatment that allows clients to stay on as long as they need to stay on for until they have fully and completely beaten their addiction problems. Incredible right? No set time period for treatment, no twenty-eight day limiter, just endless treatment until a full recovery is achieved. That is not common in addiction treatment.

Next up was the quality of the actual treatment itself. This was truly special and in fact phenomenal for me. I have never experienced treatment like this before, and I really appreciated it here at A Forever Recovery. They use about twelve different addiction treatment approaches, which to me is phenomenal. I was somewhat able to pick and choose with approaches I wanted to engage myself in, and which I did not want to do. This made it far more straightforward for me to get down to the bottom of my addiction problems and to come out winning and sober in the long run.

In addition to all of that, I was also quite impressed with the staff at A Forever Recovery. Never before have I seen a group of people that were so dedicated and impassioned with creating full and lasting recoveries in their clients. These individuals were all great. Caring, compassionate, hardworking, wonderful people who do a great job and who work hard to help us triumph against addiction once and for all and for good. The care factor at this rehab center was the best I have ever seen. I think in their hiring process they only hire people who are truly motivated and truly desirous of helping others beat addiction. Some of the staff are stably in recovery themselves, and these individuals were incredibly helpful and compassionate. All in all, I have the utmost gratitude to A Forever Recovery. I am two years sober now thanks to them, and I would strongly recommend this rehab center to anyone who wants to beat addiction once and for all and for good.
