The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt provides intensive, personalized care for addiction and mental health disorders in a discreet residential setting in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area. At The Retreat, we believe that co-occurring addiction and mental illness are most effectively treated together, so our treatment team has expertise in addressing both problems at the same time in order to provide these patients with the best opportunity to heal and recover. Through the use of integrated detoxification, individual therapy, family counseling, group therapy, psychopharmacology, and educational programming, residents with these complex disorders have access to a full array of therapies.
Located on a beautiful, private suburban campus, we are a self-pay residential program for individuals 18 and older. Part of the nationally-renowned Sheppard Pratt Health System, we are an open and unlocked space, with16 luxurious suites with private bathrooms, cable, and WIFI. It is an intimate and nurturing environment with an assurance of privacy that facilitates mental health and addiction recovery and growth.
We are especially well known for our work with individuals 18+ at various life stages, including young/emerging adults, professionals at a crossroads, and adults who are dealing with a variety of life stressors, such as retirement and loss, problems in marriage, and other interpersonal difficulties.
With a 4:1 staff-to-resident ratio and 35 hours of therapy each week, we provide an intensive, highly personalized assessment and treatment program so that each resident has the opportunity to make meaningful progress toward recovery.
