The 12 step programs are one of the basis for our recovery process. With long term recovery in mind, our program is the key to success for addiction and sobriety.
We have a comprehensive and holistic angle integrating all of the program's components, including Chemical dependency counseling which addresses the ways in which drugs and alcohol affect people on personal and physical levels and in their relationships with others. Came to Pass utilizes traditional therapies withiin chemical dependency counseling, including Psychotherapy, Self Psychology, Jungian Psychology, Expressive Arts in Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy.
Our program employs traditional therapies in group and individual settings under the direction of licensed psychologist Suzanne Botello, Ph.D., LPC.
It is well known that drug and alcohol abuse results in an imbalance of a person’s ability to feel pleasure, satisfaction and a sense of well-being. It is also known that physical exercise releases endorphins that create a natural high. We will help you establish a consistent routine of physical activity that results in experiencing deep satisfaction. This training combined with good nutrition allows your body to regulate its own chemistry and mood, support improved sleep, increase energy, and provides feelings of accomplishment, pride and self-worth.
Our very own Casey Rose shares his love for nutrition, food preparation, and meal planning. The essence of recovery is replacing negative behaviors with positive ones. Proper nutrition plays a vital role in making these successful changes. Learning about nutrition, how to prepare food, and ultimately make healthy food choices is another element that we add to promote a healthy lifestyle.
One of our missions is to develop educational goals with the necessary guidance and access to resources to accomplish them. Our team has partnered with Coconino Community College (CCC) to support clients’ educational goals with the help of scholarships, financial aid, mentoring, and more. The college’s pine-forested Lone Tree campus is just a short bike ride from our treatment facility.
Community, peer support and family support is just another aspect in which our program puts great emphasis, as a considerable amount of research shows that recovery is supported by social support. For example, Yale School of Medicine states that “recovery and community inclusion occur as a person’s gifts, strengths, interests, and struggles are valued and shared. Communities become stronger as they include the resources and talents of all people. It is experienced in the midst of natural relationships in local neighborhoods, families, and friendships.”
The Came to Pass Residential Treatment Center program utilizes several communities to provide support for addiction recovery and a lifestyle change through fitness, education, 12 step fellowship, family therapy, parent coaching, peer support and the loving guidance of the professionals at our program. We do recovery and we do it together in a safe, clean, modern and intimate facility.
