Amerinet Rehab and Heroin Detox Coverage

Amerinet Rehab and Heroin Detox Coverage

If you are struggling with an addiction to heroin, the first step in overcoming your condition is to enroll in a detox program. During this program, you will eliminate the remaining heroin from your system, deal with the withdrawal symptoms and prepare yourself for the next phase of treatment, which may be referred to as “rehab.” However, before you begin the detox and rehab process, you will probably want to know how much it is going to cost and whether your health insurance policy will cover your expenses.

About Amerinet

Amerinet is not an insurance provider. Instead, it is a company that works with healthcare providers to reduce the cost of healthcare for the facility and, thus, the patients who utilize that facility.

What it Means for Patients

If you will be attending an outpatient or inpatient detox program at a facility that works with Amerinet, you may be able to obtain the treatment you need at a lower price than you could from another facility. However, it is important to note that each facility that partners with Amerinet to reduce costs will have its own policies with regard to insurance coverage, patient payments and other such issues. If you are relying on your insurance policy to cover a portion of your detoxification fees, you must check with the facility to make sure that it will accept your policy. You must also check with the insurance company to make sure that the services you need will be covered.

Other Considerations

When receiving care from a facility that works with Amerinet, a number of other factors will affect the cost of your treatment. Some of these factors include:

  • Type of treatment – The type of treatment you receive will determine how much you pay. For example, inpatient detox and rehab tends to be more expensive that outpatient detox and rehab. Likewise, the longer your program is, the more it will cost.
  • Deductible – Before your insurance company will begin paying your detox and rehab expenses, you must first meet your deductible. This is the amount that you must pay toward your own healthcare expenses during the year in order to activate your insurance benefits.
  • Coinsurance/Copayments – Most insurance policies will require you to pay a copayment and/or coinsurance toward the cost of your rehab and detox services. While copayments are a flat fee, coinsurance requirements will be expressed as a percentage.
